2010 DOG
LICENSES
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Cumberland's Animal Control Officer has requested the
Town Clerk to make a final attempt
to request owners of unregistered
dogs to complete a 2010 registration within the next
ten business days. Doing so will prevent a visit
and/or possible summons by the ACO. State law
requires the Town Clerk to add a late fee of $15.00 to each
registration beginning February 1st.
2010 Dog
licenses can be acquired in the following manner: by visiting
Town Hall during regular business hours; by mail submission of a
current rabies vaccination and neuter/spay certificate along
with payment; or through our online portal at https://www.informe.org/dog_license/begin.shtml.
License
fees are $6.00 for a neutered/spayed dog or $11.00 for a
non-neutered/spayed dog.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the
Town Clerks' office by calling 829-5559.

Cumberland
Veterans Monument Committee
Town of Cumberland, Maine
The Cumberland Veterans Monument Committee is currently in the process
of compiling names of Cumberland veterans. Under the authority of
38 U.S.C. 501(a), "Veteran" means a person who served in the
active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged under
conditions other than dishonorable. The Committee has accepted a
definition of "Veteran" to include any person who served in
the active military or reserves and who was discharged under conditions
other than dishonorable.
Links to the data compiled on Cumberland's veterans, including a master
list of veterans and separate lists by conflict can be found below and
on our homepage. If you know of an individual who you believe
should be included, or have information about any of the veterans
listed, please contact the Cumberland Veterans Monument Committee by
using the fillable form titled Cumberland Veterans

Economic
Development News
Town
Manager Shane introduced his economic development
initiative to a group of over 90 participants during last
evening's CMBA (Cumberland Maine Business Association) Inaugural
Event at Val Halla Banquet Center.
Support
for this initiative was strong and enthusiastic. Town Manager
Shane requested his development staff to compile and
organize the comments, suggestions and concerns expressed during
the meeting and combine them with the additional feedback to be
gained during upcoming business visitations. The final
survey results will be reviewed with our business community at the next
CMBA quarterly meeting and businesses will have
the opportunity to take part in solidifying a Vision, Mission
Statement and Action Plan for the CMBA.
