WATER HAZARDS: marked by yellow stakes and defined by yellow lines.
LATERAL HAZARDS: marked by red stakes and defined by red lines.
DRAINAGE DITCHES & DEPRESSIONS, SPRINKLER HEADS AND ALL IRRIGATION: marked or not, are a free lift.
PATHS AND ROADS: Artificially surfaced (including gravel) cart paths and roads and associated worn areas, free lift, play as obstruction.
BRIDGES: Wooden or gravel are IN the hazards. Club may be grounded. Play it as it lies or take a hazard penalty. (Exception: the trestle bridge on #6 is rough).
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS: Bells and their posts, irrigation boxes (stainless and plastic), fences and large boulders placed for cart control are free relief for stance and swing only. DRAINAGE PIPES IN BUNKERS: free lift must drop in bunker. For a ball coming to rest in an area that is obstructed by the fence next to the 7th green, as an additional option, the player may proceed to the drop zone behind the 7th green.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR- marked and defined by white lines, also, circled or not: tire ruts, French drains, newly seeded areas, animal damage. Aerification holes: relief “lie of the ball” only, place ball no nearer.
STONES IN BUNKERS: may be removed (Please dispose of permanently out of play.)
PROVISIONAL BALL FOR BALL IN HAZARD: For a ball that may be lost in a hazard, to save time, play a provisional ball under any of the available options under Rule 26-1.
-If the original ball is lost in the hazard, the provisional ball is in play.
-If the original ball is found in the hazard, the ball may be played or the provisional ball is the only other option.
-If the original ball is found outside the hazard, it is the ball in play with no option for the provisional ball.
